Today's Breakfast : Three little pigs, white cheese, hard-boiled eggs, salad, Malaysian teh tarik, French baguette.

OMG!!!! The eggs are not with happy birds but stolen by three evil pigs! Will happy birds be morphing into angry birds? Stay tuned for the next breakfast.

Today's Lunch : Lingzhi Mushroom Soup - Packet of Chinese herbs + piece of lean pork.

Dropped by an Asian Supermarket yesterday after the haircut. Bought a packet of Chinese herbal soup with several herbs that specially selected and combined namely, lingzhi mushroom, a medicinal mushroom has been used in Chinese medicine for more than 2000years (Wikipedia.com), white fungus and black fungus, sweet dates, glehnia root (Sha Shen 沙參), cordyceps sinesis (Dong Chong Cao 冬蟲草), rwizoma dioscoreae (Wei Shan 维山).

Since it's chilly today and have been working hard plus burning the midnight oil for my research lately, i need to back up myself with more energy (heat + stamina), at least until i have finished my master thesis! Hope this herbal soup will boost me up to the peak. lol

Recipe :

1. Wash the herbs.
2. Boil two liter water.
3. Put all herbs and piece of lean pork (or chicken) in the pot.
4. Simmer for more than (at least) two hours.
5. Serve hot with rice.

This soup is bitterly sweet. So, keep your salt untouched. Don't spoil the original taste of the soup. Try to get those herbs mentioned above at any Chinese Pharmacy. Highly recommend this soup!

記得加上一塊瘦肉
要煲兩個小時以上

豬肉很重藥材味道

我把湯渣都吃光了 :p

Today's Lunch - FuFu Curry Rice : carrot, tomato, potato, lean pork, rice and black berry juice.

It's been chilly since last Friday. Finally the rainy June has arrived. And i was shivering while walking back from the train station. I realised that i still had two pieces of lean pork left, so i made pork curry. It's very spicy and fufulicious. :p

爲了補充熱能量
今天就煮了咖喱
冰箱只剩下豬肉
就弄了咖喱豬肉
雖沒香茅等香料
我的咖喱還很香
吃到我滿頭大汗

Today's Breakfast : FuFu Happy Birds Breakfast - Baguette bread, ham, cheese, eggs, coffee with milk.

'Angry Birds' has been praised for its successful and addictive smart phone's gameplay lately and i saw many updates of it on my Facebook wall. Its popularity led to FuFu version of Happy Birds! :) Happy birds with their two eggs. lol Can't stop laughing! Actually, i was inspired by ham and the round bread i bought yesterday as well as eggs! Creative FuFu. By the way, need to mention that today is public holiday here in Germany, to mark the Jesus' ascension to heaven. Happy cloudy Monday.

p.s. : Not every good. Will do better next time.

Today's Lunch : FuFu Curry Pasta- overnight chicken curry (carrot, potato, eggplant and chicken) and glass of cranberry+apple juice.

Overnight curry is ultimately fufulicious! :Þ Until i licked the bowl clean, seriously. I want another bowl of curry pasta! Now you should know why i always make a lot of curry. Overnight curry can be served with bread as well ya.

昨天煮了一大鍋的咖喱雞
我一個人當然不可能吃完
今天就把它變成咖喱面囖
有雞肉番茄馬鈴薯紅蘿蔔
過了夜的咖喱真的很入味
吃到連碗都舔得非常乾淨
你們也都知道爲什麽了吧
我每次都煮那麽多的咖喱
因爲隔天就可以吃到高潮
那一種滋味真令人難忘耶 :Þ

Today's Lunch : FuFu Shouyu Ramen (しょうゆラ-メン) - pasta, chicken paste and soy sauce, Bauchspeck (German smoked pork), carrot and hard-boiled egg.

Ramen (Japanese noodle)! My all time favourite. Used to eat ramen three times a week (average) when i was studying in Japan from April 2002- March2007. However, it's freaking expensive to have a bowl here in Frankfurt, Germany, well if you ask the price, it would be ranging from Euro 8-10 (RM 35-44, US $11-14). Thus, i decided to make myself a nice bowl of pasta with soy sauce and chicken paste soup. This ramen i made only cost less than Euro 1 (almost 10 times cheaper than eating outside). Again, this dish is fufulicious!

p.s. : Fufulicious? Yes! Instead of delicious, and because the dish is judged and rated by FuFu, so i use fufulicious.

Recipe :

1. Marinate Bauchspeck with soy sauce (1hr).
2. Boil 3 litres of water (1 litre for the soup, 1 litre to boil egg, 1 litre to cook the pasta)
3. Make the soup with a piece of chicken soup paste.
4. Add carrot (cut the shape you like).
5. Get one egg hard boiled.
6. Fried Bauchspeck until fragrant.
7. Put egg and Bauchspeck into the soup (together with soy sauce).
8. Simmer the soup for one hour (low heat).
9. Cook pasta and drain it, then put it in a bowl.
10. Add soup to the bowl. Present nicely then serve it on the table.

以前在日本時常吃的
差不多一星期吃三次
來了德國之後很少吃
一碗在法蘭克福很貴
比自己煮的貴十倍耶
自己研製德國式拉麵
採用了德國的燒豬肉
把燒豬肉再用醬油腌
湯用了一塊素雞味煮
把紅蘿蔔及一粒雞蛋
一起跟湯慢熬一小時
最後步驟把意粉煮熟
然後把湯倒在意粉上
有時閒就裝飾一下吧
熱烘烘的拉麵好好吃
很日式的吃出囌囌聲
這個感覺真的一級棒

Today's Lunch : Bauchspeck rice - Bauchspeck (German smoked pork), carrot, egg and orange juice.

Remember the ramen i had two days ago? Exactly, i still have many leftover of Bauchspeck. Today, instead of noodle again, i had it fried until golden together with carrot, eaten with rice. Very appetising. This dish is beyond fufulicious! :Þ

加一粒滷蛋
三層肉正爆
肥肉好好吃
蛋也很入味
非常的開胃
再來杯橙汁
真的很滿足

Today's Lunch : FuFu Hearty Porridge - Boiled Lettuce + eggplant + potato + carrot, pickled vegetable with black jelly fungi and sesame, bio sausage.

My sixth sense told me this morning i would have a severe fever. I then keep pouring plenty of water into my body since then, yet still i am feeling dizzy. I spoiled one whole morning lazying on the bed while listening to some soft musics. Thought of having only bread the whole day but i have many food in the fridge. Thanks god, i am feeling a bit better in the afternoon. So i spent an hour in the kitchen preparing something good for myself. I hate to get sick without family and friends. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy my life here. Just i hate the fever asshole. Wish i would get better after this. Need to burn midnight oil again. Wish me luck guys.

p.s. : Keep in mind, do drink cup of fresh orange juice if possible when you know you are going to be sick. Seriously, it helps! Mr. C and other vitamins are good at killing all assholes in the body!

昨天才淋那麽一點的雨
老天爺竟然讓富富發燒
早上喝很多水又休息了
到中午才有覺得好一點
爲了要完全征服那病魔
又不想一整天都吃麵包
冰箱裏又還有很多蔬菜
下定決心作些好的來吃
清淡的白粥及一些小菜
馬鈴薯紅蘿蔔茄子生菜
把這一些菜統統過熱水
非常清淡營養價值又高
用了木耳芝麻腌漬榨菜
榨菜很配粥讓我很開胃
當然也有德國有機香腸
橙汁永遠是我的好將軍
不舒服的時候就會喝他
希望我可以快點康復囖
因爲我還在趕著寫報告
今晚也要繼續的開夜車
引擎開了我要走了嘟嘟

Today's Lunch : FuFulicious porridge cooked with diced carrot, topped with boiled lettuce, eggplant and egg, and 3 slides of croquette.

I am recovering very fast! Yet, to thoroughly kick the fever away, i made porridge again. Added diced carrot for better colour, and specially grilled one croquette (can't survive without meat). It's ultimately fufulicious! I am feeling 100% contented. What else could i ask for? I enjoy cooking, studying, travelling, taking pictures.... and mainly LIFE. Phew...

頭也沒有再疼
但還是要吃粥
今天加了粒蛋
還有香炸豬肉
真的非常好吃
感覺超幸福耶
很會照顧自己
無論烹飪旅遊

Today's Lunch : FuFu Spicy Chicken Curry - carrot, eggplant, potato, tomato and chicken drumstick.

Nothing better than a hot and spicy curry when the weather is freaking cold like today, 16°C! I am sweating now. Feeling so good. Woohoo. I still have a lot of curry in the pot, gonna keep some overnight for curry noodle tomorrow. :p

Today's Lunch - Smiley Onigiri with tomato, Mozzarella (Italian Cheese), lettuce and carrot, plus glass of mixed fruit juice (pineapple, banana, apple, maracuja and strawberry).

Onigiri or rice ball, is a Japanese food made from rice formed into triangular or oval shapes and often wrapped in nori (seaweed). Traditionally, an onigiri is filled with pickled ume (umeboshi). I don't have nori, neither had i stuffed any filling inside the onogiri. Instead, i mixed the rice with boiled tomato, potato and carrot and created two smiley onigiris, pulling myself out from the Monday's blue of working on my thesis. LOL

很久都沒有吃飯糰了
以前在日本時常都吃
想起在日留學的時期
對飯糰的吃慾立刻增
但沒有紫菜沒有干梅
有番茄紅蘿蔔馬鈴薯
糊裏糊塗把它們混淆
竟然看到會笑的飯糰
誤打誤撞的再弄一個
再配上番茄乳酪沙拉
還有一杯冷的雜果汁
我真的吃得很健康哦
要開始新的一個星期
勢要把我的研究做好

Today's Lunch - Braised pork rice, fried egg, and glass of mixed fruits juice.

Braised pork rice (Lu Rou Fan, 滷肉飯) is a famous Taiwanese cuisine which has minced, cubed, or ground fatty pork, stewed in soy sauce and spices, then served on rice. I added tomato and mushroom, and my braised pork is really fufulicious! I still have half of it left, gotta make it as my dinner. :p

Recipe :

1. Heat oil in the pan.
2. Fry onion and garlic until brown.
3. Add certain amount of ground pork as you like.
4. Cook while stirring.
5. Add diced shitake mushroom and tomato.
6. Add 3:2 ratio of soy sauce and water.
7. Simmer until the pork is brown (flavours really seep into the meat).
8. Season to taste.
9. Top it on a bowl of rice.
10. Sprinkle dried parsley to serve.

第一次在臺灣吃
差一點流連忘返
因爲真的太好吃
事隔已有六年了
很懷念那個味道
今天就花點心思
弄了一大盤滷肉
把滷肉倒在飯上
香噴噴的很開胃
加上一個荷包蛋

Today's Dinner - Saute Eggplant with overnight Braised Pork.

Oh my god, overnight braised pork is absolutely fufulicious! Actually i am rushing for my research, and have no time to cook properly lately. Simply i stir-fried eggplant with braised pork i couldn't finish yesterday, surprisingly, it turned out way too good than expected. Remember to simmer the eggplant with braised pork for about more than 3 mins (low heat), so the sauce could totally seep into eggplants. Again, i had two bowls of rice. :p Have to eat a lot because i need more energy to burn the midnight oil efficiently. lol

Recipe :

1. Heat pan with few drops of oil.
2. Saute the eggplants until golden brown
3. Stir in braised pork and saute well.
4. Simmer more than 3 mins (until eggplant is softened and the braised pork sauce has melded in it).
5. Garnish with few slices of lettuce.
6. Serve hot with rice. :p

吃不完昨天的滷肉
又看到冰箱有茄子
聯想到茄子炒滷肉
首先把茄子過熱油
再加入剩下的滷肉
給他們大炒在一起
然後放小火燜一燜
讓滷肉汁滲入茄子
當然不可少了裝飾
爲了要吃的更健康
就要多吃點青菜嘛
所以用了幾片生菜
紅紫棕青配白飯吃
過夜的滷肉非常棒
滷汁完全征服茄子
讓茄子攀上高峰去
其實我很喜歡茄子
今晚也吃了兩碗飯 :p
我就是要吃多一點
因爲我還要開夜車
要把我的研究做好
然後就可以去玩了 :)

Today's Lunch : Fridge Cleaning Dish - German's cheese sausage (Käse-Bockwurst) saute with zucchini, lettuce and tomato.

It's Sunday and i need to clear the remaining stuff in the fridge so i could buy fresh vegetable and other stuff on Monday (my weekly grocery shopping day). Also, i was just back home from a small town and very hungry. So, here is my random late lunch + early dinner!

冰箱裏還有一些雜菜
明天又要去超市買菜
肚子餓又沒心機燒菜
所以就隨便的炒些菜
香腸西葫蘆番茄生菜
搭配還蠻好的一道菜

Today's lunch : Frankfurt's green sauce with peeled boiled potatoes, tomato, hard boiled eggs, with black cherry juice.

" Grüne Soße (green sauce) is the name of different and special sauce in Frankfurt containing mainly herbs. There are, actually several type of green sauces in Europe, the Frankfurter Grüne Soß is made from hard-boiled eggs, oil, vinegar, salt, and generous amount of seven fresh herbs, namely borage, cress, chervil, chives, parsley, etc. Green sauce can also served as a side dish to barbecue. 例如菠菜水芹菊花葉
韭菜香菜蒔蘿山蘿蔔
還有雞蛋油醋鹽做成
富有很多營養的青醬
配上馬鈴薯番茄雞蛋
清淡的午餐很有胃口

Today's Lunch : FuFu Pasta - Tomato, eggs and zucchini, served with glass of black cherry juice.

1. Heat the pan with olive oil.
2. Break 2 eggs on the pan and make it into pieces.
3. Add diced tomato and zucchini, cook and stir well.
4. Toss thoroughly with pasta.
5. Serve the pasta in your own desired creation on a plate while it's still hot.

FuFu High Tea - French pain au chocolat and Malaysian teh tarik.

Pain au chocolat, a chocolate bread, also called chocolatine in southwestern France, is a French pastry consisting of a cuboid-shaped piece of yeast-leavened laminated dough, similar to puff pastry, with one or two pieces of chocolate in the centre. Oh, my mouth is full of chocolate after the first bite, together with teh tarik, oh mg god, they are one perfect combination!

I just had my lunch, three hours ago, but because of the chilly weather, 13°C (insane), my stomach sent one quick order to my left brain. I just couldn't focus on my work and ignore the request. Hence, once the message was received, the high tea was immediately served on the table! Efficient. Amazing. Blissful. Satisfied. Life is beautiful.

肚子就打鼓了
信息傳到左腦
無法專心讀書
就準備下午茶
香噴噴熱烘烘
法國巧克力包
巧克力很香滑

Today's Lunch - FuFu Herb Chicken, grilled zucchini, grilled carrot, grilled potato, tomato and broccoli. Extremely yummy, i tell you guys! :P

Recipe :

1. Melt butter on a frying pan.
2. Fry onion until golden.
3. Add the chicken until it's cooked.
4. Two dash of herbs (dried union, garlic, parsley, dill, leek, other herbs) and saute well.
5. Meanwhile grill zucchini, carrot, potato that topped with butter.
6. You can grill the tomato if you want.
7. Boil water and get the broccoli cooked.
8. Serve the food hot! :p

Today's Lunch : FuFu Soy Sauce Pasta with Frankfurter sausage, carrot, and broccoli. Served with glass of cranberry+apple juice.

Recipe :

1. Heat the pan with olive oil.
2. Fry sausage until fragrant.
3. Stir-fry carrot until cooked.
4. 1 teaspoon of soy sauce.
5. Toss with pasta properly.
6. Garnish with broccoli.
7. Serve hot! :p

Yay, finally! Here is my perfect half-boiled eggs! :) Happy! Happy Friday.

FuFu High Tea - Pain au lait (literally milk bread in French), Teh Tarik (popular milk tea in Malaysia) and banana.

Teh tarik (literally "pulled tea" or 拉茶 in Chinese) is a hot Malaysian tea beverage which can be commonly found in restaurants, outdoor stalls and kopi tiams in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Its name is derived from the pouring process of "pulling" the drink during preparation. It is made from black tea and condensed milk. (Source : Wikipedia)

Living in Germany, it's impossible to enjoy good teh tarik (my favourite). Bought a packet of tea and bar of condensed milk, i tried to 'pull' my ever first teh tarik back and forth repeatedly giving it a thick frothy top. According to Wikipedia, this process cools the process fluid (tea) to optimal drinking temperatures, and helps to thoroughly mix the tea with the condensed milk. It is also done to give the tea a better flavour. So, now onwards, i can also have teh tarik for breakfast. Hooray!

Today's Lunch - FuFu Hearty ABC Soup. Oh a huge chicken drumstick, yummy!

ABC Soup - Carrot, potato, tomato, onion, chicken drumstick.

Wondering why this soup is being named as ABC? It's all because of the ingredient. Carrots contain a lot of vitamin A that essential in keeping the membranes which line all the cavities of the body in a healthy condition. Tomatoes are good source of vitamin B6 that convert dangerous homocysteine into more benign compounds. Potatoes are rich vitamin C that helps the body to produce collagen and prevent cell damage. On top of these, carrots are a real delight for the eyes, tomatoes help to reduce the risk of heart disease and potatoes are rich in several micronutrients providing 1/3 the vitamin C recommended daily for an average adult.

That's all the reasons why i often make this soup. To always keep yourself healthy, i highly recommend this soup. It's as simple as ABC to prepare it. Wash, peel, cut and dump everything (ingredient mentioned above) into the pot, then simmer the with either skinless chicken, chicken drumstick or lean pork for about two to three hours. And it can be then served on the table after a dash of salt and pepper. Very easy!

Today's Dinner : FuFu Pasta (ham, tomato, ketchup, herb) with cup of sparkling mineral water.

Damn, i so wanna be a freelancer (amateur cook, professional photographer, full-timel traveller) now! Completely enjoying my life to the fullest. Well, cut the craps, cooking (besides travelling and photography) is the secret weapon i use to sneak through all the stress while doing my research at home. Seriously, while preparing each meal, i would forget everything (mostly the stress generated from my research) but focus making a yummy one for myself. Also, every meal/creation always makes me smile and gives me infinite satisfaction. Alright, wish you guys would like this dish. I personally like this pasta. It's easy. Try to make it!

Recipe : FuFu Pasta

1. Cook pasta in a saucepan of boiling salted water with few drops of olive oil.
2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a frying pan, fry garlic and onion until golden.
3. Add sliced ham and fry until fragrant.
4. Add tomato and ketchup, cook and stir well.
5. Transfer to a bowl with drained pasta.
6. Add dash of herb and toss thoroughly to combine all.
7. Serve the pasta in your own desired creation on a plate while it's still hot.

Today's Breakfast - Two half-boiled eggs, Baguette sandwiches with ham, cheese and lettuce, and cup of hot coffee.

My second attempt for half-boiled eggs. Obviously, i am half way to reach my goal but i will never give up! I will do better again next time. LOL Anyway, i love the sandwiches. :p

Lesson of the day : Failure gives better (and probably also) more satisfaction.

Why i would say so? Well, first of all, i would say, most of us hate Failure. Half of the rest would scare to fail. Few of the remaining percentage can't take Failure with them. I am one of the rare of the rarest who love Failure. Failure is one of my life's best friends. I appreciate all surprises Failure would bring me throughout the journey to Success. Without Failure, i wouldn't be this strong. Only with Failure, i manage to see things clearly. Because of Failure, i will alway do better for the next attempt, try other method in order to get closer to my target.

I learned a lesson this morning. Again, i failed to have two fine half-boiled eggs. But, i will never give up! Instead, i would be extra careful when i break the egg next time. I believe, eventually, Failure could give me a higher level of satisfaction, i mean for sure, everyone would appreciate Success more after going through all these attempts. Now i am anticipating to sense the excitement (more likely satisfaction) of getting my ever first perfect half-boiled eggs.

Today's Lunch : FuFu Colourful 5 in1 - Stir-fried Capsicum/bell pepper/chili pepper (green, red and yellow) with carrot (orange) and chicken (white), served with rice and cup of sparkling mineral water.

Red capsicums have very high levels of vitamin C while yellow and green capsicums have nearly as much. The red varieties are also rich in beta carotene which the body converts to vitamin A. Today's Lunch - FuFu Hearty Set Lunch on Mother's Day - Tuna ♥ Rice with Danish cream cheese and boiled egg, served with salad and a cup of orange juice. Mother's Day was over, yesterday? Once a year only? Well, to me, everyday should be Mother's Day! If you like culinary or cook often, try to make this for your mother. I will cook for my family once i am back! Can't wait to show off to them. Because, my mother complained she hasn't tried my dishes when we Skyped last time.

Recipe : Tuna ♥ Rice

1. Cut onion, carrot and tomato into pieces.
2. Fry onion until fragrant, add in carrot and stir-fry.
3. Add tomato to the frying pan and stir-fry thoroughly.
4. Turn down heat to low.
5. Open a can of tuna and pour it to the frying pan.
6. Stir all ingredient well.
7. Season with dash of pepper and salt.

Make <3-shaped rice on a plate. Top the tuna (with carrot and tomato) on the rice. Garnish the plate with Danish cream cheese and one boiled egg. Serve hot with salad (lettuce and tomato, seasoning : olive oil and vinegar) and orange juice.

Today's Breakfast - Baguette (French bread), German white sausage, ham (with herbs), Grüne (green) sauce, Danish cream cheese, two egg yolks and hot coffee with milk.

I wanted to have two half boiled eggs for breakfast but they were 80% cooked! Urghhh, anyway, here is the creation made this morning. A great breakfast again. Happy Tuesday.

初次的半生熟雞蛋失敗
看到兩粒蛋黃就聯想到
沒有錯那就是蛋黃超人
蛋黃加在火腿跟綠醬上
配上香腸以及奶油乳酪
還有法國麵包和咖啡奶
又是一道豐富的早餐哦
