Where the weekly Sunday market will be held in the morning.
We took a quick trip to one of the liveliest, most interesting social events in KK, the Sunday Market, otherwise known as 'Pasar Tamu'. A colourful congregation of hawkers, vendors, farmers, fishermen and cattle breeders, the Sunday Market is as much a place for tradings as it is a social meeting place.
We woke up at 9am and walked around the market.
The organised chaos was totally indescribable.
I was engulfed in the peculiar sound of eager voices of vendors.
We bought a pair of gloves each for the hiking.

We watched the magic show and listened to the local songs here.
It's so happening every Sunday at Jalan Gaya. A wonderful sight!
The length of Jalan Gaya (Gaya Street) is closed off to traffic to make way for the market. Catch the native Sabahans in their traditional fineries like arts and crafts, antiques, souvenir, cakes, pets and even herbs under shady trees and over sized umbrellas.
The market is almost the same either in the East or West Malaysia.
Wrong, i found the homemade Sarawakian layered cake there!
So colourful and cute.
You could listen the song "Sayang Kinabalu" in every single corner.
We explored farther and found the farmer's market too.
Flowers and herbs could be found here as well.
Sunday market operates from 5am till 1pm.
It's damn hot but windy - simply love the weather in Sabah.
Jalan Gaya , which used to be called Bond Street, is considered the main road of Kota Kinabalu. The traditional shops were transformed wherein the ground floors were occupied by different shops and the second floors were turned into residential units, hostels or guesthouses.
She bought this for her boyfriend as the souvenir.
A local handicraft with drawing and your name written on.
We even watched how the artist draw it!
A very nice mural on the wall of the Pizza Hut on Jalan Gaya.
Nowadays, Gaya Street is still considered the commercial and business district in all of Kota Kinabalu. This is where you can find the most number of banks, other financial offices, and legal offices.
We came here to have a break enjoying a cold drink.
And did photoshooting of course. =)
One of my friend said the background was good.
Thus, we decided to camwhore here a bit.

It's always nice to hang around with nice buddies.
This area will be crowded with tourists at night.
Sunday Market was truly a perfect beginning to a perfect day.
At around 1pm, vendors started to pack and close their stalls.
We walked in to Yi Hong Restaurant (怡豐茶室).
Another nice place recommended by Wois, my reader.
We tried curry laksa again.
A bowl of noodle costs RM5 - not cheap at all.
Nonetheless, the curry laksa real worth our 5 bucks!!
FuFu couldn't get it out of sight. Loving curry laksa so much.
My friends brought their pets out for lunch as well. So cute.
We back to our guesthouse and got ready to switch to other place.
Before leaving, we took couples of photos.
This guesthouse has a spacious living room for the guests.
While the other took out the lovely toys.
We then surprisingly noticed our soles were all stained.
It must be the floor, it looked clean though.
Anyway, so we left for Rainforest Lodge as it's better.
Then we headed out to Atkinson Clock Tower.
Atkinson Clock Tower is one of the most enduring landmarks in KK which has stood prominently on the bluff along Signal Hill Road. It has the distinction of being the oldest standing structure in the whole Sabah that survived the air raids and blitz of World War II.
FuFu got a nice pose up there.

We later took the RM1 city bus to our next target.

The City Mosque of Kota Kinabalu.
Kota Kinabalu City Mosque - which is situated at Likas Bay near the sea, is the largest and most beautiful mosque in KK. The man made lagoon which surrounds it gives a serenely gorgeous and dramatic look to the mosque.

Ok, let FuFu teach you guys how to kiss.
Put your hands on a girl's waist and grasp softly.
Then, slowly move your head towards the girl and close your eyes.
Until you touch her lip. It's damn simple boys. Let's kiss. lol
Wow... guess what did i see? A shooting star.
Honestly speaking, i DAMN so am qualified to be a model.
Ok, it's enough for FuFu.
The rest then took turn to take pictures.
After the mosque, we leisurely strolled along Likas Bay.
Teenagers enjoyed fishing along the bay too.
The sky in Sabah is significantly different with the West.
The park beside the bay was comfortable too.
It was really one relaxed afternoon.
An absolutely perfect getaway for my Hongkong friends as well.
We just relax and unwind from the day's hectic schedule.
And enjoy the fresh air breeze of the South China Sea.
We found the heart shaped leaf.
And this cutie boy was trying to block us from going through.
He must be surprised to see such crazy gang of brothers and sisters.
KK youths too influenced by punk, hiphop and other subcultures.
We took bus back to downtown and proceeded for dinner.
We chose the Chicken Rice Shop to have our dinner.
It's real hard to make decision though.
"We're damn hungry already. Just order!"
Hence, we got the combo set for 6-8person.
"Yeah, sooner the yummy Malaysian dishes would be served."
WTF, only chicken rice served! Well, chance for us to take pictures.

We looked up the sky, were directly brought to the waterfront.
Located beside the Filipino Market, the Waterfront is a popular place for night entertainment and fine dining in KK. Apparently it's a great spot for mesmerizing the spectacular view of sunset over the Borneo horizons.

Sunset is always so charming.
Like fireworks, sunset won't stay long.
Therefore, we quickly snapped down the precious moments.
Do remember not to miss the sunset when you visit KK.
And take as much pictures as you could or you will be regret.
Then we walked back to Jalan Gaya.
What a hilalious tv show.

Errr... scary movie.
Ok, it's time for supper - fried noodle and chicken wings.
