Public transportation inGuayaquil is pretty good. The BRT system is similar to Curitiba's model. One single fare is only USD0.25. And most importantly the terminal and airport are connected with public transportation (BRT bus and local bus).

This is not a shopping mall. Instead a bus terminal that integrated with commercial purposes and social services. I was stunned when i first arrived this terminal on the first day.

the terminal has three storeys. First one is for arrival, second is for regional departure, third one is for inter-provincial and international departure. Impressed!

Actually this hotel was recommended by another staff of a hostel i first went. the people in Ecuador is very friendly. When i asked where can i find cheap hostel? They will not reluctant to tell you where is the whereabouts of the hostels. Not only one, they will give you few options. Impressed.

FATE again. Well, we were on the same bus from huayillas to Cuenca, but the officer didnt allow me to enter Ecuador and the bus driver left me alone at the checkpoint, we couldnt go to Cuenca together. After putting my stuff at the hotel, i bumped into them in front of my hotel. They were heading for ice-cream. Ann invited me to join them. She said she gonna treat me one ice-cream!! The reason is she was treated nicely by a Malaysian when she was there 31years ago. We had a short conversation. Ann and Stewart are going to settle down in Cuenca because of the mild climate, lovelt town and friendly people. Nearly half an hour later, i said goodbye to them and started my short evening tour around the city.

You will see many ladies carrying a basket here and there, especially at the corner of a street. They are actually selling food, snacks or fruits. But you will never know what is the stuff until you ask and the lady remove the cloth.

Cuenca is one of the oldest colonial city in Ecuador. There you can find many stunning colonial buildings which are all still preserved very good.

Hey Ecuador is quite unique. I love the colonial buildings. Food is so cheap. But this place is not very safe right?
