Today's Lunch : FuFu Nasi Lemak - Peanuts, sambal, zucchini, pork curry, egg, rice and carrot+orange juice. The sambal is fufulicious and very spicy.

Nasi Lemak, a national dish of Malaysia, is commonly eaten any time of the day. Traditionally, nasi lemak comes as a platter of food wrapped in banana leaf, with cucumber slices, small dried anchovies (ikan bilis), roasted peanuts, hard boiled egg, and hot spicy sauce (sambal) at its core. Couldn't believe i finally made it here in Frankfurt! Replaced cucumber with zucchini, dried anchovies with pork curry, specially cook curry for this dish since the weather is cold (actually for dinner). Anyway, overall, it's FuFulicious. :Þ

Zucchini is a popularly cultivated summer squash in Italy, Germany, France, etc. It belongs to the species Cucurbita pepo, so i would say zucchini is a cousin of cucumber. Unlike cucumber, zucchini is usually served cooked and presented as a savory dish or accompaniment.. It can be prepared using a variety of cooking, including steamed, boiled, grilled, stuffed and baked, barbecued, fried, or incorporated in other recipes such as soufflés. It also can be baked into a bread, zucchini bread or incorporated into a cake mix.

Zucchini can be bought at any supermarket here in Germany. One packet of it (usually 5) is ranging from Euro 0.80-1.20 (roughly RM3.50 - 4.80, US $1-1.50).

西葫蘆又稱北瓜櫛瓜或夏南瓜
但是香港就稱西葫蘆為翠玉瓜
這瓜類在歐洲幾乎是家喻戶曉
西葫蘆的口感很像青瓜或黃瓜
可是就沒有其他瓜類那麼甜美
所以不可以像青瓜那樣直接吃
凃上奶油燒煎烤炒或煮燜蒸烘
這是我常在德國喜歡吃的瓜類
在德國的超級市場都可以買到


Today's Breakfast : FuFu Happy Birds Meal - Baguette, three types of hams, salad (lettuce and carrot), eggs, coffee with milk.

Finally, the eggs are with my happy birds. Wish they will live in their small nest happily, forever. =)

Where are the three little evil pigs? I don't know, but i am going to grill three pieces of pork chops for lunch later. lol

Today's Lunch - Penne with FuFu-made chilly sauce, lettuce, grilled zucchini and potato, fried pork chop and carrot+orange juice.

Penne is a type of pasta with cylinder-shaped pieces. Not bad with my FuFu-made chilly sauce. I like to have spicy food when it's cold. :p By the way, it's already July, still below 20°C?

Today's Breakfast : Angry Birds Meal - four types of hams, salad (lettuce, carrot and cream cheese), eggs and Malaysian teh tarik.

Eggs are not in the nest, oh no... my happy birds have morphed to Angry Birds >< How to get their eggs back the nest? I am still thinking. lol

I ♥ rice. No matter what, will definitely eat rice everyday, at least one meal per day. lol By the way, i have submitted my master thesis! It's time to party and travel. :)

FuFu Kitchen 2011 - Part Seventeen

Today's Lunch : Curry Bratwurst - carrot, potato, tomato, curry paste, bratwurst, salad and rice.

Curry bratwurst is originally from Berlin, always served with French fries and bratwurst is topped with curry ketchup. I have to finish my curry paste as fast as i could because i will be leaving Frankfurt soon. So i cooked the curry with bratwurst. I don't say the combination is great but not bad. Worth to try if you have fed up cooking curry with chicken, fish, beef or pork. Salad is a good side dish to reduce the spiciness of the curry. Of course, rice as well.

Recipe :

1. Fry curry paste with crushed onion, garlic and ginger.
2. Pour 500ml water in the pot.
3. Add carrot, potato and tomato.
4. Simmer for 30-45mins.
5. Add bratwurst. (You don't need to cook Bratwurst long)
6. Prepare salad.
7. Serve hot.

Tip : Eat salad if you feel the curry is spicy.

德國香腸配南洋咖喱
我不敢說是好的搭配
如果你對平常的咖喱
豬肉雞肉牛肉魚頭等
這一些的搭配感到悶
不妨試一試咖喱香腸
如果你不喜歡吃辣的
可以考慮準備些沙律
生菜可降低咖喱的辣

Today's Lunch : Fried Mackerel, grilled carrot and potato, tomato and Italian cheese, hard-boiled egg and sparkling mineral water.

Mackerel has a pair of big eyes! lol Rather, it looks like a goldfish.

我的鯖魚有一雙大眼睛
但是看起來有點像金魚
這裡的蛋黃也太搶眼了
忍不住每一天都吃兩粒
紅蘿蔔馬鈴薯番茄奶酪
身體所需要的營養來源
每天都差不多吃這一些
連體重也迅速的增加中

Lucky the weather is cloudy and chilly, so i can focus working on my thesis. Usually i will make soup or curry on a chilly day, but able to have such lunch is good enough, right? lol Anyway, two more days to go and i will continue tonight! Fighting~

幸好還有點時間
在廚房煮飯燒菜
就沒閑情弄好的
有的吃就滿足了
今晚要繼續加油
