Just Not Tonight

Just Not Tonight

On this starry night
I want to remain silent
So you will miss me
More than other usual nights
I am going to climb onto my paradise
Because i have a date with myself

Wish i could tell someone
How i miss you
Every day and night
But when i look into your eyes
Even i am trying hard
Often i can't seem to tell the truth

My love for you is getting thicker
More than the capacity of my heart
Why not give me a call
Tell me you miss my voice
But i am not going to call
Just, just not tonight

Remember to Forget | Forget to Remember

Remember to Forget | Forget to Remember

Once upon a Spring time, I remember,
How naive you were,
Together with me wandering around the world,
Hunting for the ideal land to settle down,
However, the map was left at the foothill,
Both of us were lost in the jungle of Love,
Our forever was in oblivion,
We could not find the direction to True Love,
Who had not comprehended enough?
Forget brought us hatred.

We have forgotten our mutual promises,
That we planned to grow old together,
We could not change what had already been fixed,
Neither we could get out of the labyrinth,
You did not properly rub away the tears,
Sea of tears is now burying the mainland,
I always blame myself for not being sensitive,
Nothing is filled in the blank of my life yet,
The familiar scent we liked is fading away,
Remember is our good friend to rely on for reminiscence.

Remember to forget our previous mistakes,
Time only value the current's breath,
Open the arms for future's love songs,
Happily appreciate what being painted in our lives,
Forget to remember the shooting stars at night,
Enjoy the current breeze with blue skies,
Uniquely define your own meaning for life,
Never let the joyful moment gone wastefully,
Do not forget where you have hidden the smile,
Remember to take it out when we catch up again.

p.s. : Do not think too far. This is a simple love fiction from FuFu. Like it and/or leave comment if you have any. Thanks.

From Dr. Phyo to Brain Drain Crisis

From Dr. Phyo to brain drain crisis.

Dr. Phyo, from Myanmar, speaks fluent English. He knows some useful words in Bahasa Malaysia as well, such as ada baik? (feeling good?), sakit (pain), ingat makan ubat (remember to take the medicine), rehat banyak (rest more), etc.

You may ask why i know Dr. Phyo? Actually i went to a clinic, it's apparently operated by Malaysian, however i was told by a nurse when she was handing me a medical card that the locum doctor of the evening was Dr. Phyo. The surname Phyo, sounds like Burmese, i knew it because most of my ex-workers at a construction site in Singapore were Burmese and Thais. So it was not a shock until i talked to Dr. Phyo and knew his nationality.

Disappointed to know that Malaysia has reached such a level that both foreign labours and expats are needed in the country. Disappointed? Why?? How come??? This is not a fact worth to be proud of. Instead, it's a shame. Shame because we have hundreds of brilliant students scored straight As every year but their ambitions to be a doctor smashed by the quota system set by the government. Most of them either couldn't get a place in any Malaysian university to study medicine or given other choices (engineering, bio-science, pharmacy, etc), have no choice but to accept other offers to study abroad. Many of these overseas qualified doctors are reluctant to come back serving the country. Eventually, the problem - shortage of doctors is getting worse until we have to import qualified doctors from our neighboring country, Myanmar. Sigh...

I am pretty sure the affected profession is not doctor only, we are, in fact, facing a severe brain drain crisis at the moment in all professional positions because i was just informed that few Malaysian teachers had decided to teach in Singapore next year. What's wrong? We can't close one eye letting this problem becoming worst. We really need a change!

p.s. : No worry i am 90% recovered. :)

Phyo

FuFu Back in Malaysia

What have i done in a month since i am back home from Germany? First two weeks were busy exploring some random picked places and of course my hometown. The other two weeks were slowly spent at home due to my health condition. Officially i have one good excuse to recharge more bullets.

Being away from the country more than two years, honestly speaking, Malaysia has improved a lot. Many new and major projects had and being constructed around Kuala Lumpur and its suburb (Klang Valley), decentralising the people, create job opportunities, commercial activities and provide leisure purpose. Yet, the infrastructure is not effectively and progressively integrated with these projects. The latest proposed MRT project is not comprehensive enough as well. Even though the bus system has been upgraded, and flyovers that sprang out everywhere in the capital should not the solution to ease the traffic problem!

Alright, i have never thought my hometown could be that beautiful through my eyes. Bet we still have plenty of unpolished gems everywhere in the country. Really hope everyone of us could appreciate what we have here.

It's time to seriously start planning my future. I cannot afford to waste my precious time. Have to accelerate to get my dream pursued.

The Dream Destination | Egypt - Part 2

"Who doesn't want to visit Egypt?"

Cut the story short. If you ask whether i want to go back again to Egypt or not. I will, without pausing for any hesitation say 'No'. Yes, Egypt indeed has a lot more to offer than those being promoted by the tourism industry. Somehow after visiting the main historical sites, such as Cairo, Nile River, Giza Pyramids, Alexandria, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor and White Desert, a heavy conclusion came across that i am done with Egypt.

Don't get me wrong. I am not discouraging you guys to visit Egypt. Just, if you want to have a pleasant trip there, the safest bet is to take the local travel package in your home country. Or if you want to know what travel adventures i had got there, go explore yourself carefully.

The Dream Destination | Egypt - Part 1

The Dream Destination | Egypt - Part 1

The Dream Destination | Egypt - Part 1

"Who doesn't want to come to Egypt?"

I bet no one would raise the hand up! Long and rich chronicle of almost 7000 years, i was looking forward to explore and witness the impressive history and culture of ancient Egypt. However, i had my first sigh right after getting my passport from the immigration officer. Several touts approached me and kept asking what's my plan in Cairo while i was waiting for the baggage. (Imagine how easy the touts can get in and out the airport as they want.)

"Konnichiwa my friend, where are you from?" - If you wanna start the sentence in Japanese, please continue with "are you from Japan?", not "where are you from?"!

"Oh, good country! Good people." - You don't even know where is Malaysia located.

"I am teaching history. I like history. The museum is closed now, why not you come to my father's gallery?" - First, you don't look like a teacher apparently. Second, the opening hour of museum is until 6pm. Third, you are 100% one annoying tout.

Touts are standing at every corner of streets, waiting to bait fish from all over the world. Strongly advise you to ignore those who trying to approach you. They have hundreds of different patterns of ways to start a conversation with you. Keep walking or indirectly you are giving the tout a chance to waste your time.

I was told that Egyptians concern for social ethics that is evident by the soul of "I don't steal", "I don't rob". On the other hand, the touts have their own way to get your money. Dishonesty. They will never tell you the real story. Tourism is the most important sector in Egypt's economy. Cheating tourists is the common way to have the cash flowing into their pockets from you without any dispute. (You won't see them again after the trip) Since the tourism in the country has no proper system, and you will need to take the tour package to visit some attractions (it's also difficult for the Egyptians to travel around). You can't do anything after the tour but to complain to your friends and wish the situation will be improved sooner.

There's both bad and good people everywhere in this planet. You may feel uneasy being stared, flirted, honked and etc. Honestly speaking, Egyptians are nice and friendly. They are happy to have foreigners visiting their country. Proud to be Egyptians, they surely want you to bring good memory back home and visit the country again. I was greeted "Hallo, welcome to Egypt.", "Enjoy, my friend.", "Have a nice day., etc by the passers-by in Alexandria, Aswan, Luxor and a village near white desert. Egyptians are willing to help anyone, anytime and anywhere. But after all these unrosy moments happened in Egypt, you will start to ignore until don't trust everyone (policemen included), except your travel companion and other backpackers. Also, eventually, you will know who is reliable to lean on or how to seek help from the correct local around you.

The naive smiles from the kids had somehow mystically brought me back to pH-7 (the neutral level). After seeing their sincere and funny reactions, there's hope for the country actually. The point is whether the recent revolution could afford to properly offer appropriate education to the young generation for better Egypt in the future.

See. Stand. Sit. | 坐.

See. Stand. Sit

You don't need to stand high,
But you ought to see things clear.
If you manage to stand high,
Not a compulsory being able to see far.
Just remember to have a wide view.
Don't quickly glance though thousands miles,
And missed the treasure within several meters.
Sitting high is not a must as well,
As long as you could sit firmly.
But if you could sit higher,
Definitely you don't need to sit straight the entire time,
Comfortably sitting on the chair is more important.
Strengthen your seat steadily,
Get a correct sitting posture that won't hurt.
Stand high, see thing clear and wide, sit stably and comfortably.

Lemon and Life | 檸檬人生

Lemon and Life

I know i can't control the weather. So, i will never complain if it's too hot or it's a rainy day. Instead, i always enjoy what life throws me. If i was given a lemon, i will either make ice lemonade or boil water for a cup of hot lemon tea to keep myself warm.

Also, i won't blame if you don't want to help me. Cause, you have the right to choose. No point forcing other to get one's problem solved. Just, you won't deserve a sincere appreciation from FuFu.

Likewise, i categorise my friends. If you are not invited to be seated with me at the same table, don't piss off. Enjoy your dinner with your friends. Just, my stomach needs to better digest what i am going to eat.

Like and Dislike

Like and Dislike.

Like = Simple + Feeling.
Dislike = Easy + Tangible.

Reasons don't chase after Feeling.
Tangible needs to be clearly explained.

Feeling is lovely and hard to describe.
Tangible is ugly and it hurts.

Like = slowly appreciate before falling into it happily.
Dislike = kill it immediately and then forget thoroughly.
