去了金馬皇宮酒店的餐廳

雖分量不夠滿足我的肚子

Peru (Winter End of Dec 2010 - Early of Jan 2011)

"Peru is the must-visit country when you fly to South America. It's a shame if you only wanna go to Brazil and Argentina or any other country."

Machu Picchu 5-day Hiking Trip : After the hiking trip, nothing is impossible probably except Mt. Everest. A tough journey to Machu Picchu, but many priceless memories generated were properly saved. Need to highlight that Llama is one of the cutest animal i have ever seen and touch, also the view was breathtaking.  And i took a cold shower in a mountain. COOL.

Colca Canyon 2-day Hiking Trip : I (was forced), rather, learned to pee and poo outside the bathroom. The moment when you pee and poo without facing the door or in a four-wall bathroom, was damn madly, simply, truly amazing i tell you!

Friends, acquaintances and strangers : I was sent to Peru to meet everyone there. The bond we have made will never be apart. I will remember the sincere smiles given by the strangers i had met, appreciate my friends spread their wings wide taking me up to the sky over the rainbow from the bottom of the canyon, and, continue to maintain the relationship with my acquaintances hoping we could meet up again.

Be careful of your camera or any belonging especially in Cusco. I heard about the story but still they were very professional until i couldn't protect my Canon A3100. >< Ended up got myself a new digital camera (same model) in Arequipa. My banknotes collection (Paraguayian Guarani, Argentina Peso, and Chilean Peso) was stolen in Lima, Peru. Yet, frankly speaking, i joyfully enjoyed the two weeks in Peru. Would definitely visit Peru again and travel with my friends around the country in the future. I will be back for all yummy Peruian dishes!

回顧 2011 (第4集) - 秘魯

秘魯是很多人夢寐慾求的國度
這國家給了我很多美好的回憶
古代印加空中之城為印象深刻
五天四夜的爬山之旅擦出火花
登上雪山越過河川在森林露營
跟印加大自然有零距離的接觸
親自一步一步地走上馬丘比丘
那一種成就感是真的難以言喻
獨自享受在與世無敵的高峰上
這就是我一直以來追求的呼吸
老實講秘魯真的讓我又愛又恨
傻瓜相繼跟一些外幣都不見了
很高興朋友及家人都伸出援手
讓我非常順利的度過這個難關
這兩個星期真的認識了很多人
陌生人的真誠笑容揭開了好感
搭訕我的巴士男孩融化了偏見
還有機會認識到很多背包朋友
也少不了當地朋友的熱心照顧
原來真心是沒有分膚色與宗教
我還學會了如何到處小便大便
沒想到我的適應能力有那麽強
真的想再回去好好的探險秘魯
認真的品嘗當地所有佳肴美食
因爲我已經跟印加約法三章了
等天時地利人和錢財聚在一起
那時就是我要再度流浪的日子

Chile (Summer End of Dec 2010 - End of March 2011)

It was a scenic bus ride from Mendoza, Argentina to Santiago, Chile, from the vineyard to olive plantation, from sea level to more than 2500m Andes snowy mountain ranges. So after eight hours sitting in the bus, finally i got myself arrived safely in Santiago. Withdrawed some money, called my host, jumped in a train to Univesidad Catolica Metro station. Met up Louis, we stopped at a supermarket for some stuff, he prepared dinner. It was the new year eve. We were watching tv while catching up with each other. I wanted to go out for the countdown but he didn't like the 'festive' crowds. He kept convincing me that the rooftop of his apartment could see fireworks.

"Chi Chi Chi, Le Le Le, Viva Chile. Feliz Año Nuevo", as everyone was proudly shouting out loud joyfully right after the first firework was fired. I repeated it again. The rest burst out loud. Probably because of my Asian accent. Later, several families started to fire the firecrakers they brought along. It was fun though. Something i didn't expect it could be like that special. And this was how my i began my 2011 in Chile. Louis couldn only host me for a night, so on the first day of 2011, we were walking around the downtown for hostel. Thanks God, i had found a nice hostel with awesome ambience and it served good breakfast. Santiago is a nice city. It has many great park. Totally enjoyed walking around the city, though the expenses was slightly high compared to Argentina and Paraguay and it was scorching hot (i drank 4L of water daily average).

My luck was not always with me. Why? Because my wallet was pick-pocketed. I lost two credit cards. Fortunately, i had Japanese Yen with me. Immediately, i exchanged all Yen to American Dollar after chatting with group of traveller from Peru. It's much easier to have dollar than Yen while travelling in Peru, because the exchange rate is way lower there. A week later, i headed to Puno, Peru from Santiago, Chile. Again, the bus ride was a scenic one. I met some Chilean girls during this South American trip, guess i have to visit them the next time i fly back to South America. Chicas, abrazo y besos!

回顧 2011 (第3集) - 智利

巴士的引擎運作了八個小時
路途上的風景真的讓人陶醉
從葡萄園一直到橄欖種植園
藍藍的白天配上朵朵的白雲
終于到了智利阿根廷的邊界
在半山中看到很壯觀的雪山
整個人興奮到獨自放空去了
不經不覺也到達了聖地亞哥
提款後打電話聯絡沙發主人
然後坐地鐵到了目的地等他
見面後就去超市買食物飲料
沙發主人為我煮了美味晚餐
我們一起上天台倒數看煙花
二零一一年的跨年蠻有特色
還以爲我會一路上順順利利
萬想不到我的錢包被扒去了
快拜托朋友幫我取消信用卡
客棧的朋友說美金有較方便
我就把身上的日圓兌換美金
就這樣我趕緊繼續北上秘魯
離開智利真的有點匆匆忙忙
勢要回去獨自放慢腳步欣賞
還要去找那幾位漂亮智利妹

FuFu Year in Review 2011 - Part 2

Argentina (Summer End of Dec 2010 - End of March 2011)

Tango? Argentine meat? Wine? I had actually visited Argentina when i was studying in Curitiba, Brazil (Aug 2010 - Dec 2010). But the capital city, Buenos Aires is totally out of my expectation. I was wondering if the long-hauled bus journey from Asuncion had transported me back to Europe. Very French and Spain i would say. Argentina was supposed to be my last two stop before heading back to Brazil, because i couldn't get the visa to enter Bolivia, so i completely changed my itinerary. 

Couchsurfing is not something new to me but, i sent the request last minute and lucky enough i got a couch in Buenos Aires. My host is a nice guy, but i felt uneasy and frustrating when he asked, "Can i believe you? Because i am going to give you the key of my apartment." after two nights sleeping on the couch in the living room. I had a boring Christmas as well. He promised to bring me to a pub but ended up walking around the neighbour alone. I don't blame him as it's his first couchsurfing experience. And he knew very little about the city he is living in. How pathetic. I decided to stay at a hostel in the downtown, since his place is nearly 45mins walking from the city centre. 

I somehow felt happier to pay for my own lodging. (Anyway, he told me later it would be no problem to stay at his place again next time.) I talked to some travellers in the 8-bed dormitory room. They recommended me to visit here and there before heading to Santiago, Chile. I had a great time in Mendoza, a small town that famous of its wine. I met Coti in Lima, Peru (a month later), for sure, i will crash at his place when i go to Argentina again then down to the south for glacier and penguins! lol

阿根廷

這不是我第一次去阿根廷

在巴西交流的時候已去了

從巴拉圭坐了二十個小時

在巴士上度過難忘的一夜

第二天中午到達了阿根廷

首都非常像法國和意大利

可能是歐洲移民多的關係

其實阿根廷是最後第二站

因爲拿不到伯利亞的簽證

臨時更改計劃南下阿根廷

也趕緊聯絡某個沙發主人

在他的沙發睡了兩個晚上

發現是他第一次招受客人

避免爲了有什麽事情衝突

我決定投靠青年客棧算了

自由自在還認識了些朋友

樂意跟我分享他們的經歷

就這樣我去了個酒莊小鎮

在那邊騎單車及品嘗紅酒

這旅程認識幾個阿根廷人

日後回去有免費住宿提供

下一次我要去冰河看企鵝

FuFu Year in Review 2011 - Part 1
Paraguay (Summer End of Dec 2010 - Early of Jan 2011)

I saw Hedy (we studied Japanese together in Osaka, Japan, April 2002 - March 2003) waiting for me at the arrival hall. It was 38"C when i arrived Asuncion Bus Terminal. The journey back to her house was about an hour if i remember correctly. San Lorenzo is a nice neighbourhood. After a cool shower, i was invited to have terere (Paraguayian tea) with her mother and auntie, we were sitting at the garden. Empanadas (something like our curry puff) was my favourite. I told them we have similar stuff like empanadas in Malaysia. I tried to shape our curry puff with Paraguayian filling, baked (not fried) it. Later they made me a typical drink that usually drank during Christmas, Clerico = fruit + wine was yummy!

How about the city itself? Well, Paraguay is still relatively poor if compared with other South American countries. However, the friendliness of the people simply amazed me. I surprisingly saw many Asians (mainly Chinese from Mainland China and Taiwan) doing business there. I bought a digital camera (Canon A3100, US$110) from a Taiwanese lady. She and her son were happy to talk in Mandarin with me, well once a while Hokkien after i told them i can speak Hokkien too. Anyway, i had only visited the capital city, Asuncion and Ciudad del Este. The next time i fly back to South America, i would definitely make sure i have enough money to explore the entire country as what i had promised Hedy and her family when they sent me off to Buenos Aires, Argentina!

巴拉圭

五天四夜的短暫逗留
攝氏三十八度的國度
南美洲其中一個貧囯
見了日本的同班同學
感激她超熱情的招待
讓我愛上了這個國家
除了烤肉炒飯燒肉餅
當地的冷茶讓我難忘
出街都會帶一瓶隨身
幾乎每一天都喝幾瓶
這個國家還是很落後
沒有很多的高樓大廈
但人情味真的很雄厚
還遇到兩位臺灣商人
他們在巴拉圭賣相機
很高興可跟我說中文
老闆娘久沒講福建話
我們聊了有一段時間
首都其實沒什麽好看
希望日後有機會回去
好好的環游整個國家
