FuFu Kitchen
FuFu Life in Frankfurt - Part Twenty Two
30th May 2010 | FuFu Kitchen Season Two
First of all, sorry for not being able to update often and visiting your blogs. I have been working on my assignments which deadlines are all around end of June. I gotta get them done as soon as possible so i could start preparing for my third semester in another part of the world from end of July. Please allow me to miss in action again for another couple of weeks. Anyway, here is the post about the dishes i have been cooking since early of the month. Wish you guys would like my cooking.
Let's start with green tea pasta FuFu had bought month ago.
FuFu loves this green tea pasta.
FuFu Green Tea Pasta.
FuFu Grilled Saba (mackerel) with onion, tomato and ketchup.
Probiotic Yoghurt drink FuFu will have every morning.
Topping with stir-fried bacon, carrot and cucumber
It's a scrumptious lunch.
FuFu Fried Egg.
FuFu Random Stir-fried cucumber+potato+carrot+chicken.
But it turned out good.
Today's Special Lunch - Pasta, Lettuce and Yogurt.
FuFu Tomato Pasta with Shrimps.
FuFu Lettuce with oyster sauce.
This pasta is really tasty!
A strange combination of a set lunch but yummy i must say!
The Lap Cheong FuFu got from his HK buddy German in October.
Hence, Today's Special Lunch - FuFu Lap Cheong Fried Rice.
A probiotic yoghurt drink a day keeps the doctor away.
So which set lunch you guys like the most? Below are some of the simple dishes i have been making lately. Due to the massive assignments i gotta deal with, i lately cut down the time i used to spend in the kitchen preparing my lunch and dinner.
One of the famous German dishes - green sauce, potato and egg.
Green sauce is the name of several different sauces containing mainly herbs. There are several type of green sauces in Europe, the Frankfurt-style ( Frankfurter Grüne Soß) is made from hard-boiled eggs, oil, vinegar, salt, and generous amount of seven fresh herbs, namely borage, cress, chervil, chives, parsley, etc. Green sauce is as well served as a side dish to barbecue.
Peeled boiled potatoes, tomato, hard-boiled eggs and bread served with the famous Frankfurt's green sauce. It's a healthy typical Frankfurt dish i would recommend to everyone. If you could ever get the green sauce in your place, try to make this and you definitely will like it!
Because FuFu misses prawn noodle very much!
So here is the Today's special Lunch - FuFu Curry Prawn Pasta
Instead of prawn noodle, FuFu made his own curry prawn pasta. Noodle is kinda expensive here so i use pasta. It's good to have my favourite spicy prawn pasta when the weather is chilly. A yummilicious dish i specially dedicated to my mother early of the month. Wished her stay healthy and happy forever.
Today's Special Lunch - FuFu Green Tea Pasta.
Topping sauce = Butter --> onion --> chicken --> mushroom --> tomato --> carrot + cucumber --> ketchup. Highly recommended. Easy to make. Yummy to eat.
Today's Special Lunch – FuFu ABC Soup.
You must be wondering why this soup is being named as ABC? It's actually all because of the ingredient. Carrots contain a lot of vitamin A that essential in keeping the membranes which line all the cavities of the body in a healthy condition. Tomatoes are good source of vitamin B6 that convert dangerous homocysteine into more benign compounds. Potatoes are rich vitamin C that helps the body to produce collagen and prevent cell damage.
On top of that, carrots are a real delight for the eyes, tomatoes help to reduce the risk of heart disease and potatoes are rich in several micronutrients providing 1/3 the vitamin C recommended daily for an adult. That's all the reasons why i often make this soup. It has been giving me heaps of stamina since i came to Germany.
To always keep yourself healthy, i highly recommend this soup. It's as simple as ABC to prepare it. Just simmer the ingredient mentioned above with skinless chicken or lean pork for about two hours. And it can be then served on the table after a dash of salt and pepper.
----------------------------| on the other note |----------------------------
Both FuFu and the little one are tremendously happy. Why? Because FuFu has purchased the ticket flying to Curitiba, Brazil on the 22th July. They are going to spend nearly 10 months in Latin America, exploring the exotic (mainly Spanish spoken) continent thoroughly. Will be flying back to Germany in April 2011 for the master thesis. Another 7 weeks to go, and the two of them will be surrounded by sexy Latin people. Horray...

The Historical City Centre of Aschaffenburg
FuFu Life in Frankfurt - Part Twenty One
23rd April 2010 | Aschaffenburg - Bayern
The amazing Schloss Johannisburg.
After the picnic, we walked around the inner city.
If you are looking for different kinds of landscape and an excellent choice of cultural and recreational offers, then Aschaffenburg is the place to go. Its landscape, climate and forests with 171,000 ha of outstanding natural beauty provide an excellent background for recreation. The parks in Aschaffenburg is very popular and always packed with people especially at the weekends.
Besides the town's landmark, the Königstein Castle ruins, other buildings are worth seeing in Aschaffenburg. The historical city centre is quaint and dainty. The paths and alleys provide a quiet alternative to the crowded pedestrian zone of the historical city centre that worth to walk around. The streets are clean and the peaceful parks made me wanna stay longer.
So after exploring around the vintage city centre, we had a layover at the historical English landscape garden that blessed with a wealth of ancient trees in the middle of the city create the enchanting atmosphere. Strolling around, spending time on the grass with friends, enjoying the sun, getting lost in the maze, are among the many options we enjoyed very much. People usually come here for a quiet lunch break or family picnic on sunny days.
Next destination was Schönbusch garden.
FuFu loves to lay down on the lawn!
Naughty, naughty, naughty!
Back to the bus terminal.
Train going to Wiesbaden will depart late.
Gotta wait for the next and faster regional train.
Going back to Frankfurt by the group+day ticket.
Finally the train bound for Frankfurt had arrived.
The little one didn't willing to leave.
Latin Americans really love beer.
Arrived Frankfurt at around 7.30pm. Still very bright.
